This community service initiative aims to enhance the skills of Sidomekar villagers in managing organic and inorganic waste based on circular economy principles through smart waste management. The activity was conducted on July 22–23, 2026, involving 85 participants, including members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group and Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) volunteers. The methodology employed Participatory Action Research, encompassing participatory problem identification, collaborative activity planning, outreach, demonstrations, hands-on waste processing practice, as well as reflection and evaluation. Organic waste was processed into liquid organic fertilizer, organic pesticides, and fermented animal feed using appropriate technology (specifically, a shredder machine), while inorganic plastic waste was utilized through the production of ecobricks. Skill evaluation utilized a 1–4 scale across ten skill indicators, assessed both before and after the training. The results indicate that the average community skill score rose from 2.20 pre-training to 3.64 post-training an increase of 65.5% with an N-gain score of 0.81, placing it in the high category. These findings demonstrate that smart waste management effectively improves community skills in managing organic and inorganic waste while simultaneously promoting the utilization of waste as a valuable resource with economic potential.
