Etnomatematika dalam tradisi Dewi Sri: Kearifan lokal Masyarakat tani Desa Gesing

Tradisi Dewi Sri adalah warisan budaya masyarakat agraris yang masih hidup dan dipraktikkan oleh petani di Desa Gesing, Kecamatan Semanding, Kabupaten Tuban. Setiap kali panen padi selesai, para petani menggelar tradisi ini sebagai wujud syukur sekaligus ajang mempererat kebersamaan, dengan membawa tumpeng, ketupat, dan beras merah ke sawah untuk dibagikan bersama. Di balik kesederhanaan tradisi ini tersimpan banyak konsep matematika yang menarik untuk diungkap. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur etnomatematika yang terkandung dalam tradisi tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan 2 informan yang dipilih secara purposive (seorang tokoh adat/sesepuh dan seorang petani aktif). Dari proses analisis ditemukan tujuh unsur etnomatematika: geometri kerucut pada tumpeng, simetri dan tessellation pada ketupat, konsep pembagian dalam distribusi makanan, estimasi kuantitatif informal, simetri bilateral pada susunan sesaji, sistem waktu berbasis kongruensi modular, dan konsep fungsi periodik dalam siklus panen. Temuan ini mempertegas tesis D'Ambrosio bahwa matematika hidup dan berkembang dalam konteks budaya, sekaligus menegaskan potensi tradisi ini sebagai sumber belajar etnomatematika yang bermakna.
