Pengaruh edukasi terhadap pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pencegahan tuberkulosis di wilayah kerja puskesmas “X”

Tuberkulosis (TBC) merupakan penyakit menular yang masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat dan memerlukan upaya pencegahan melalui peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pencegahan TBC di wilayah kerja Puskesmas X. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian edukasi kesehatan melalui penyuluhan kepada masyarakat dengan menggunakan media leaflet, yang dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi pengetahuan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan juga dilengkapi dengan edukasi secara door to door dan kunjungan rumah kepada pasien TBC yang putus obat sebagai bagian dari upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian TBC. Evaluasi pengetahuan dilakukan pada 30 peserta dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test setelah data dinyatakan berdistribusi normal berdasarkan uji Shapiro-Wilk. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pengetahuan meningkat dari 68,33 pada pre-test menjadi 95,67 pada post-test. Hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) dan mean difference sebesar -27,333. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa edukasi kesehatan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pencegahan TBC. Edukasi kesehatan secara berkelanjutan melalui penyuluhan dan media Komunikasi, Informasi, dan Edukasi (KIE) perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam mencegah penularan TBC.
