Post-Publication Discussion

CAHAYA: Journal of Research on Science Education  is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record after the publication of articles. The journal provides a mechanism for readers, researchers, and the academic community to submit comments, questions, clarifications, or constructive criticisms regarding published articles.

Post-publication discussion is considered an important part of scholarly communication that supports the improvement of research quality and strengthens the reliability of published knowledge. All comments, feedback, and criticisms should be presented in an objective, respectful, and evidence-based manner. Readers who identify potential errors, data inconsistencies, methodological concerns, ethical issues, or other matters related to published articles may contact the editorial team through the official communication channels of the journal.

The editorial team will evaluate all submitted comments, concerns, or reports by considering the significance of the issue, supporting evidence, and its potential impact on the validity of the published article. When necessary, the editors may request clarification from the authors and conduct further investigations in accordance with publication ethics principles.

Correction

CAHAYA: Journal of Research on Science Education may publish corrections when errors are identified in a published article that do not affect the overall validity, interpretation, or main conclusions of the research.

Corrections may address issues such as typographical errors, incorrect author information, affiliation errors, inaccuracies in tables or figures, or other minor technical mistakes that can be amended without altering the fundamental content of the article. Any correction will be published transparently and linked to the original article to maintain the accuracy and clarity of the scholarly record.

Expression of Concern

The editorial team of CAHAYA: Journal of Research on Science Education may issue an Expression of Concern when there are serious indications of potential problems with a published article, but the investigation process has not yet been completed or there is insufficient evidence to justify retraction.

An Expression of Concern may be issued in cases involving potential issues related to data integrity, research procedures, ethical compliance, conflicts of interest, or other forms of publication misconduct that may affect the reliability of the article. The notice will remain associated with the published article until the investigation process has been completed and an appropriate editorial decision has been made.

Retraction

CAHAYA: Journal of Research on Science Education may retract a published article when substantial evidence indicates that the article can no longer be considered part of the valid scholarly record.

Retraction may occur in cases of serious violations of publication ethics, including but not limited to plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, manipulation of the research process, unacceptable duplicate publication, major methodological errors affecting the validity of findings, or other forms of research misconduct.

Retraction decisions are made by the editorial team based on a fair, transparent, and thorough evaluation process. A retracted article will remain available in the journal archive with a clearly identified "retraction notice" explaining the reason for the retraction, ensuring transparency and preserving the traceability of the scholarly record.

Editorial Responsibility

The editors of CAHAYA: Journal of Research on Science Education are responsible for ensuring that all post-publication actions are conducted objectively, transparently, and in accordance with academic integrity principles. In addressing post-publication issues or allegations of misconduct, the journal follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards, including the guidelines and principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Through this policy, CAHAYA: Journal of Research on Science Education aims to promote transparency, encourage constructive scholarly dialogue, and ensure that all published articles maintain a reliable and trustworthy academic record.
