Publication Ethics
The AHS Journal of Multidisciplinary Social Sciences is a scientific journal that applies a peer-review system and is committed to maintaining academic integrity and high standards of publication ethics. This publication ethics statement refers to the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers (peer reviewers), authors, and the publisher.
This journal aims to ensure that every article published provides a high-quality scholarly contribution to the responsible, transparent, and ethical development of multidisciplinary social sciences.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Publication Decisions
Editors are responsible for determining which articles are suitable for publication in the journal. Decisions are based on the scientific quality of the manuscript, its contribution to the advancement of knowledge, clarity of analysis, and its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.
Fairness in Evaluation
Editors evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit without regard to the authors’ race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political views.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all information related to submitted manuscripts. Such information must not be shared with anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher when necessary.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information or materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research without written permission from the author.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist editors in making publication decisions and provide constructive feedback to authors to improve the quality of their articles.
Timeliness
Reviewers who feel they are not qualified to review a manuscript or who cannot complete the review within the specified time should immediately inform the editor.
Confidentiality
Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document and must not be shared or discussed with others without permission from the editor.
Objectivity
The review process must be conducted objectively and professionally. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and notify the editor if there is any substantial similarity between the manuscript under review and other published works.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or related institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors must present their research results honestly, accurately, and objectively. Research data must be reported correctly and must be accountable.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is an original work. If ideas, data, or quotations from other works are used, they must be properly cited.
Multiple or Concurrent Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Multiple or redundant publication constitutes unethical publishing behavior.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Authors must properly acknowledge all sources used in their research.
Authorship of the Article
Authors listed on the article must have made significant contributions to the research. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission to the journal.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation of the research results.
Errors in Published Articles
If authors discover significant errors in a published article, they are obliged to promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article.
Research Ethics Oversight
Research involving human participants must obtain approval from an ethics committee or relevant institutional body. Authors must also ensure that participant consent has been obtained in accordance with research ethics standards.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to the AHS Journal of Multidisciplinary Social Sciences will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism will be immediately rejected.
Handling Complaints and Appeals
The journal provides a mechanism for handling complaints and appeals regarding editorial decisions or alleged violations of publication ethics. All complaints will be handled professionally in accordance with the applicable publication ethics guidelines.
