Eksplorasi Makna Tradisi Bersih Desa dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Perilaku Sosial Masyarakat di Desa Kemiren Kabupaten Banyuwangi

Abstract

The Village Clean Tradition is one of the cultural heritage that is still preserved by people in various regions in Indonesia, including in Kemiren Village, Banyuwangi Regency. This research aims to explore the meaning contained in the implementation of the Village Clean Tradition and analyze its influence on the social behavior of the local community. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the Village Clean Tradition is not only interpreted as an activity to clean the physical environment, but also contains deep religious, social, and cultural meanings. These meanings are then manifested in the form of community social behavior, such as a sense of togetherness, mutual cooperation, concern for the environment, and strengthening the bond of brotherhood between citizens. In conclusion, the Village Clean Tradition has an important role in shaping character and maintaining the harmony of community life in Kemiren Village.
